| About Our Lessons: |
| GIDDY UP PONIES offers beginner lessons at our north Scottsdale location in both western and English riding. Children are mounted on ponies, rather than horses, and use saddles and equipment just their size. Our students gain confidence and make progress quickly, as everything is in correct proportion, and basic riding skills can be applied correctly. This is virtually impossible for a small child to do when mounted on a full-size horse.
At GIDDY UP PONIES, we feel it is important for the children to learn about ponies and their care, and these elements are included in our lessons. Our students are quite proud when they master grooming and saddling their pony for a lesson all by themselves!
Our riding instructor is certified by the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) and has over 30 years equine experience, as well as a master's degree in education. This translates into a quality riding session for your child. |
